Deepsikha means a flame of light adding meaning and hope to the plight of cancer patients and their families.�Started in 2004�in Mumbai, Deepsikha Cancer Care is a non-profit, voluntary organization. It was conceived on the foundation of offering helping hand and support to the cancer patients and their families coming to Mumbai for treatment from far flung places of India.

The Trust decided to take the cause of the old and the deprived women first. To alleviate the sufferings, and bring dignity and succor to some of these women, the Trust has opened a destitute home at Guwahati. Aptly named SENEH, meaning �Selfless Love�, the home provides shelter, food, medical care, clothing and all necessities for sustaining a decent dignified life. The vision is that in the sunset years of their lives, they can once again learn to laugh and sing and live together as a family, all ABSOLUTELY FREE. The land and the building was donated by the same retired Armed Forces Officer. The trust has established the following criteria for eligibility for residency at the destitute home.

Nivedita Nari Sangstha, Silchar (NNS) is a women and child welfare NGO of Silchar, Assam, which was established in the year 1996 to promote the welfare of downtrodden women & children of Barak Valley. From the date of its establishment, the Sangstha has been playing a vital role in the field of education, nutrition, health & socio-economic development of the women and children of Cachar District, Assam.

The ant continues to work for development of villages in Northeast India. Headquartered in Chirang District of Bodoland in Western Assam, our team reaches out to 900 village hamlets through our current work on education, child protection, women's empowerment, peace building and mental health. At another level, the ant's initiative called IDeA (the Institute of Development Action) works with other NGOs all over the Northeast to help them do what they do even better. IDeA has now started an an office in Guwahati and had a full-fledged team doing interesting work.

Shishu Sarothi's journey began modestly in 1987, with two children (Biki Borbora and Amit Barua), a, trained special educator and a close-knit affectionate team of parents and volunteers, operating from a single room set up in one of the children's grandparent�s home. Ashadeep, a non-governmental organisation which started with as a �Day Rehabilitation Centre for Persons with Mental Disorders� in Guwahati 27 years ago in 1996, has today grown into a major service provider in Mental Health in Assam and Nagaland.
